This feels like a small town got dropped into the middle of Chicago, and the neighborhood leans into it. The main strip is dense but manageable, boutique shops and breakfast counters that have been serving the same residents for years, not chasing commuters or a Friday night crowd. Unhurried and impeccably kept.

The patio at Clybourn and Diversey is one of the finest places to sit outside in the city, the in-house biscuit breakfast sandwich has earned Southern approval, and the whole wheat cinnamon roll is a weekend-only argument for showing up early. Line is real. Moves fast. Worth it.
