Visit the Salt Shed, Leave With a Free Tree
The Salt Shed’s fall open house offers a particularly good reason to venture out: free trees from the Morton Arboretum, while supplies last. There’s pumpkin decorating, too, if your gardening ambitions are more seasonal.
Salt Shed Open House: Fall Arboretum Edition
Where: 1357 N. Elston Ave.
When: Saturday, October 10, 2026, noon–5 p.m.
Cost: Free RSVP; all ages
RSVP: Reserve through TicketWeb
Browse Umbrella Vintage and Fret 12, or wander into Elston Electric’s arcade. RSVP does not guarantee admission; the tree giveaway lasts only as long as the supply.
