Black Briar Gives Wednesday Dinner Some Fire

Black Briar promotional photograph of fish and clams on a blue plate, with the chef’s tattooed hands finishing the dish.

Black Briar gives Fulton Market a new dinner option from chef Jimmy Papadopoulos and co-owner Tim Anderson, with a coal-fired kitchen and a menu built around familiar things given a thoughtful twist.

Black Briar
Where: 201 N. Morgan St., Fulton Market
Hours: Opens daily at 4 p.m.
Menu prices: Hawaiian rolls $12; sourdough cavatelli $23; halibut $49
Reservations: Black Briar on OpenTable

The restaurant opened September 26. Start with rolls and coal-roasted pineapple butter, then consider cavatelli with pecorino, butter, and pepper. The current menu also lists halibut with garlic butter, potatoes, and clams, if dinner needs a little more ambition.
