An Old Pilsen Garage Has New Coffee Plans
Café Jon has turned a longtime Pilsen auto shop into a coffee space with vinyl, vintage Chicago memorabilia, and an engine that now works as a coffee table.

The café celebrated its grand opening September 6 after summer weekend service. Monday Coffee Company supplies the coffee, with house syrups including honey-rosemary and brown sugar vanilla. It makes an easy nearby stop before this week’s Festival del Arte Popular at the National Museum of Mexican Art.
