In The loop

World Architecture Day offers a reason to look at your neighborhood with fresh eyes, starting with the buildings people actually call home.

World Architecture Day 2026
When: Monday, October 5
Theme: “Housing is a Human Right. Build It.”
Explore: International Union of Architects

This year’s focus includes affordable, inclusive housing and reusing existing buildings. On today’s walk, look beyond the landmark: notice the stoops, courtyards, entrances, and shared spaces that make daily life feel welcoming.
