The architecture stayed when the industry left, and what remained is one of the more quietly beautiful and walkable stretches in the entire city. Independent businesses, a genuinely charming main strip, and a neighborhood energy that rewards slowing down. If you are visiting from out of town and someone tells you to skip it, they are wrong.

Coffee from Olympia Coffee Roasting Company, more consistent here than the Logan Square window but still variable. The Smoking Gun shaken espresso is the signature. The space has murals, rotating art on the walls, and a free zine box by the door. Zero waste, living wage. The best version of the Necessary and Sufficient experience.
